For What It’s Worth: Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Billy Idol, Cat Power and More to Perform During Autism Speaks Light Up The Blues Concert in Los Angeles

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the Light Up the Blues concert will return for its seventh consecutive year to celebrate Autism Speaks’ 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Neil Young, along with his CSNY bandmate, Stephen Stills, and a list of special guests, will support the cause by performing on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.

Hosted by Kristen and Stephen Stills, the occasion will bolster the autism community by aiding Autism Speaks’ efforts to “provide resources and services for all autistic individuals, across the spectrum and throughout their lifespan.” In addition to Young and Stills’ participation, the event will include appearances by Cat Power, Billy Idol, Linda Perry, Christina Applegate, and Stills’ sons, Chris and Oliver.

Proceeds raised through the sale of concert tickets will assist in garnering “life-enhancing research, increasing early childhood screening and interventions, and improving the transition to adulthood for people with autism.” The event’s mission further delineates Young and Stills’ longtime commitment to advocacy, presented via participation in 2024’s Painted Turtle Camp benefit concert, where the pair played together, reuniting on “For What It’s Worth,” “Harvest Moon,” “Helpless,” and others. They also added John Mayer on “Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World.”

Moreover, Young’s longtime involvement in the Bridge School concert series illuminates his devotion to supporting children and their families experiencing and or caring for someone with a neurological developmental or physical disability. Young’s own son Ben was born with cerebral palsy, heightening his connection to the cause.
