Easy Star All-Stars have announced a new LP Ziggy Stardub to be released on April 21. The reggae band has reimagined David Bowie’s classic The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars in an uplifting reggae style. 

Blending musical versatility, instrumental prowess, beautiful vocal harmonies and a premier rhythm section, Easy Star All-Stars have established themselves as one of the top international reggae acts on the scene. The band has found success in their collection of tribute albums Dub Side of the Moon, Radiodread, and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band.

Along with the news of the forthcoming release, the band shared a preview of the LP, with the single “Starman,” which features acclaimed vocalist Maxi Priest. Priest and the band do justice to the original, showcasing their ability to make reggae hits out of rock classics. 

The upcoming LP features guest performances by Macy Gray, Steel Pulse, Fishbone, Alex Lifeson (Rush), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), The Skints, Mortimer, The Expanders, Samory I, Naomi Cowan and many others.
