Dolly Parton has unveiled an original musical based on her life coming to Broadway in 2026. The legendary singer-songwriter, 11-time Grammy Award winner, and recently-inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will partner with ATG Productions to bring the show, titled Hello, I’m Dolly, to the stage.

Hello, I’m Dolly borrows its name from Parton’s debut studio album released in 1967, and is inspired by Parton’s life and trailblazing career. The musical will feature a book written by Parton and Maria S. Schlatter, and a score with music and lyrics by Parton, including some of her biggest hits as well as new songs written specifically for the show. Parton herself remarks, “Hello, I’m Dolly, and I lived my whole life to see this show on stage. I’ve written many original songs for the show and included all your favorites in it as well. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol’ Opera. Pun and fun intended. Don’t miss it!”

The show will be produced by Parton alongside Adam Speers for ATG Productions and Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises. Parton has previously collaborated with Speers on a production of her musical 9 to 5 in London’s West End in 2019 before embarking on Hello, I’m Dolly. Speers says, “I had always heard she wanted to do a musical based on her life, so when she asked if I would be interested in producing it, I was bowled over. As the world knows, Dolly is a magical blend of talent, hard work, intelligence, charm, wit, and a gigantically big heart. I’m thrilled we’re going to bring her inspiring story to Broadway.”
