Dead & Company’s Golden Gate Park Concerts to Stream on nugs.net
Dead & Company has partnered with nugs.net to livestream the band’s sold-out Golden Gate Park concert series in celebration of 60 years of the Grateful Dead’s song and spirit. The shows and subsequent streams will take place over three nights, Friday, August 1, through Sunday, August 3, which will feature opening frames from Billy Strings, Sturgill “Johnny Blue Skies” Simpson, and Trey Anastasio.
“On August 1, 2, and 3, we’re beaming the energy of Golden Gate Park directly to fans worldwide, broadcasting Dead & Company’s celebration of the Grateful Dead’s legendary catalog,” said Brad Serling, nugs Founder and CEO. “It’s a rare moment to honor a band whose music didn’t just shape live music culture—it built a community that’s thrived for six decades. The Dead’s sound, spirit, and ethos have inspired generations of artists and fans alike.”
News of the nightly livestreams arrived after the Monday, July 21, announcement that the band’s final performance, on Sunday, August 3, featuring opener Anastasio, would be streamed live in select IMAX theaters. Tickets for the IMAX viewing are on sale now at imax.com/deadandcompany. Read more.
In tandem with the event, Relix and the San Francisco Giants present the Grahame Lesh & Friends-hosted Heart of Town event, a three-night concert series featuring an unmatched roster of jam scene favorites and esteemed contributors to the Dead legacy.
Responding to the nature of the late-night programming, Lesh said in part, “My family has recently talked about the Grateful Dead’s legacy as a grand old tree, still growing after 60 years. Its roots are deep in the earth of America’s musical history. Its trunk is the original members of the band, and its branches and leaves are all the musical offshoots and musicians who were and continue to be inspired by the music of the Grateful Dead.”
He continued, by threading a connection to the impending shows, “The Heart of Town is a celebration of that 60-year legacy, and I am honored to host this all-star celebration at Pier 48 in Mission Rock with all of these beautiful musicians – all of these branches on the tree.” Read more about the latest artist additions here.
From August 1–3, 2025, Dead & Company’s shows will be livestreamed globally via nugs Pay-Per-View (PPV), giving fans everywhere the chance to experience this iconic moment live. A range of purchase options is available and can be accessed now.
