David Bromberg Enlists Widespread Panic, Dr. John, John Hiatt and Levon Helm for New Album

May 19, 2011

Widespread Panic, Dr. John, Los Lobos and Levon Helm are among the artists slated to appear on David Bromberg’s forthcoming album Use Me. Other guests on the all-star album include: John Hiatt, Keb’ Mo’, Vince Gill and Linda Ronstadt. Helm plays drums on the album’s only original song “Tongue,” while Dr. John plays piano on “You Don’t Wanna Make Me Mad.” Though the members of Widespread Panic have covered Bromberg for years, on Use Me the band joins Bromberg for one of the group’s own songs, “Old Neighborhood.” The album will be released on July 12 on Appleseed Records.
