Mayor Bill de Blasio, Clive Davis, Live Nation/NYCEDC chair Danny Meyer announced the lineup for We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert. The free mega-concert will be performed on the Great Lawn in Central Park on Saturday, Aug. 21. 

Organizers previously teased Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson and Paul Simon as headliners, but now the expanded lineup also includes Jon Batiste, Andrea Bocelli, Kane Brown, LL COOL J, Elvis Costello, Lucky Daye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Cynthia Erivo, Jimmy Fallon, Wyclef Jean, Journey, The Killers, Gayle King, Don Lemon, Barry Manilow, The New York Philharmonic, Polo G, Carlos Santana, Patti Smith, and Rob Thomas.

Said Mayor de Blasio in a statement, “This is going to be a historic, monumental moment for all New Yorkers and all Americans. I’ll put it plainly: You’re going to want to be here. This is truly once in a lifetime and we thank Clive Davis, Live Nation and Danny Meyer for all their efforts to help make this possible,” said Mayor de Blasio in a statement. “This is a celebration of our city, of every working family who faced incredible challenges last year and overcame. This is a celebration for you.”

Gates for the event will open at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, Aug. 21. The concert will begin at 5 p.m. EST and air live worldwide exclusively on CNN.

“The greatest city in the world is ready to take center stage,” Mayor Bill de Blasio wrote in a tweet. “Join us Aug. 21 for the most epic concert in Central Park history! All you need to be a part of it is a ticket and proof of #COVID19 vaccination.”

A run of concerts in New York City’s other four boroughs billed as “Homecoming Week” leading up to the big event has also been announced. The artists are yet to be released, but locations have.

  • Monday, Aug. 16 – Orchard Beach – The Bronx
  • Tuesday, Aug. 17 – Richmond County Bank Park – Staten Island
  • Thursday, Aug. 19 at Brooklyn Army Terminal – Brooklyn
  • Friday, Aug. 20 – Forest Hills Stadium – Queens
  • Saturday, Aug. 21 – The Great Lawn, Central Park – Manhattan

Reserve tickets for We Love NYC starting Monday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. – Citi Cardmembers have access to a special presale starting Thursday, July 29 at 10 a.m.
