Brooklyn Comes Alive Will Showcase Disco Biscuits Headlining Sets, New Break Science Live Band and More

On Sunday, Sept. 26, The Brooklyn Mirage will host the all-star return of Brooklyn Comes Alive.

Organizers will welcome the Disco Biscuits for two headlining sets, as well as The Motet, with special guests Jeremy Schon of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Shira Elias of Turkuaz and Eric “Benny” Bloom of Lettuce.

Joe Russo, John Medeski and the Dave Harrington Trio will also collaborate for a never-before-seen performance as a nod to Brooklyn Comes Alive’s connection to the late-night sets from Jazz Fest.

The roster will be rounded out by Break Science’s new live band as well as Karina Rykman DJing between sets. (Break Science’s Adam Deitch & Borahm Lee will be flanked by 2011 DMC World DJ champion turntablist, Chris Karns, as well as Bloom and Denver-area bassist Hunter Roberts.)

Festival organizer Gideon Plotnicki shared in a statement, “I am thrilled to finally announce the lineup for Brooklyn Comes Alive 2021. It has been a long and winding road to get here since we were forced to postpone the event in 2020 due to COVID-19, but we made it, and I cannot wait to reunite with our BCA family at the amazing Brooklyn Mirage in September!”
