Bono Announces Stories of Surrender Stand at New York’s Beacon Theatre

Today, U2 frontman, Bono announced that he will return to New York’s Beacon Theatre this spring in support of his new memoir, SURRENDER: 40 Songs, One Story, which was released on Nov. 1. The show, dubbed Stories of Surrender, will run eight times from April 16 through May 3.

Stories of Surrender was produced by Live Nation and directed by Willie Williams, and presents the audience with stories and lessons from one of music’s most prominent international figures. During the program, Bono will present his successes while examining childhood challenges draped in insecurity and self-doubt to paint a picture of reality for the Irish-born singer, who forged success on stage.

The eight-night stand will also include musical accompaniment by Gemma Doherty (harp, keyboard, vocals) and Katie Ellis (cello, keyboard, vocals) in addition to Musical Director, Jacknife Lee. In a press release, the event has been described as “words, music and some mischief…”

News of the recently added tour dates comes after an early November stand at the acclaimed New York City venue, which brought forth high demand for the musician’s return and a call for more shows.

For those interested in purchasing a ticket to Bono’s Stories of Surrender stand at New York’s Beacon Theatre, tickets go on sale beginning Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
