Bob Weir & Wolf Bros Announce String and Brass Section for New Year’s Eve Livestream

Ahead of his New Year’s Eve livestream show with the Wolf Bros, Jeff Chimenti and Greg Leisz, Bob Weir has announced the addition of a string and brass section for the show. He and the other musicians will perform from Weir’s TRI Studios in San Rafael, Calif., and the show will be streamed live on FANS.
The added section, dubbed The Wolf pack, will consist of Alex Kelly, Brian Switzer, Adam Theis, Mads Tolling, and Sheldon Brown. When announcing the guests, Weir shared photos of the band’s rehearsals.
Prior to the announcement of the show, Weir teased the event on social media. In addition to the string and brass section, He’ll be backed by his trusted Wolf Bros (Don Was and Jay Lane) for the gig, plus Dead & Company keyboardist Chimenti and pedal-steel player Leisz.
“We’re back & we’re here to light y’all up,” Weir said via press release.
The livestream will kick off on Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. ET and run until the clock strikes midnight.
