Bob Dylan Center to Celebrate 60 Years of ‘Blonde on Blonde’ with All-Star Tribute: Craig Finn, Natalie Merchant, X’s Exene Cervenka and John Doe, Willie Nile and More
Last year, Tulsa, Okla.’s Bob Dylan Center honored the 50th anniversary of Blood on the Tracks with a star-studded ensemble concert featuring icons like Elvis Costello, Robyn Hitchcock and Lucinda Williams. In 2026, to mark 60 years of Dylan’s groundbreaking seventh studio album Blonde on Blonde, the historical center – now in its fourth year – will follow that dazzling affair with Sooner or Later, another one-night-only celebration of the bard by some of his most acclaimed devotees.
Returning to the historic Cain Ballroom on Feb. 20, the Bob Dylan Center’s second-annual tribute show will feature rotating performances from 18 musical guests, emceed by comedian and The Daily Show co-host Jordan Klepper. The evening’s talent includes longtime indie and alt-rock innovators like X’s Exene Cervenka and John Doe, The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn, 10,000 Maniacs’ Natalie Merchant, Nellie McKay and Hamilton Leithausner, as well as rising acts like Lady Marisoul, The Cactus Blossoms and Fantastic Negrito. Americana titans Willie Nile and Chuck Prophet will underscore Dylan’s influence on folk, while the McCrary sisters will bring their soulful gospel stylings, and Joy Harjo, three-term U.S. Poet Laureate and former Bob Dylan Center Artist-in-Residence, will return after giving prestige to last year’s staging.
The headline artists will be supported by a returning backing band of Chatham County Line, Darren Jessee and alt-Americana hitmaker Brad Cook, now joined by Michael Libramento and led by musical director and co-curator Doug Keith.
Tickets for Sooner or Later are available now. Find more information at bobdylancenter.com.
