Benevento/Russo Duo, JoJo Hermann, Jack Casady, Trixie Garcia, Dave Matthews and More Will Assemble for Rainforest Benefit Concert on FANS

On April 22 – aka Earth Day – eco-conscious shoemaker Keen will team up with the Jerry Garcia family for a free rainforest benefit concert, streaming live on FANS.

The event aims to capture the “spirit of the Grateful Dead’s Rainforest Benefit Concert, held at Madison Square Garden on September 24, 1988,” and, today, organizers have dropped the livestream’s official lineup, featuring the reunion of the Benevento/Russo Duo, as well as JoJo Hermann, Jack Casady, The Infamous Stringdusters, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Duane Betts, ALO, Lettuce, Nicki Bluhm, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, TAUK, The Hold Steady, Southern Avenue and more.

Between the music on-air conversations will be facilitated between the likes of Trixie Garcia, Dave Matthews and The Wilderness Society as well as the trio of Gary Lambert, Ebet Roberts and Charlie Miller.

“We’re asking you to take action to reinstate the Roadless Rule on the Tongass National Forest and work with Congress to pass the Roadless Area Conservation Act,” reads a statement from organizers. “Please spread awareness, sign the petition, and help out in any way that you can.

Tune in for free on April 22, starting at 8 p.m. ET via FANS.
