With the recent announcement of his highly anticipated new album 'True Violet', arriving October 23rd, Rayland Baxter stopped by the Relix office to perform a selection of unreleased songs - some being played outside of the studio for the very first time. Among them is “Better Man,” the album’s recently released lead single, performed here exclusively for Relix.
Baxter’s first album in more than four years, True Violet is an 11-song collection that captures the slow, steady metamorphosis of becoming someone new. Co-produced by Nick Waterhouse and Paul Butler, the album was written during a years-long period of solitude in the hills of Tennessee, where Baxter penned more than 70 songs.
