After a three-year hiatus, Warren Haynes’ 31st annual Christmas Jam returned to Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C., on Saturday, Dec. 10. The highly anticipated Old North State event extended into the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 11, as performers meandered on and off the stage.

The night got underway with an acoustic set led by husband and wife duo, Scott Metzger and Katie Jacoby. Then, the second act, Dinosaur Jr., took the stage and cut into choice material from their decades-long career.

As the evening continued Hiss Golden Messenger delivered a brief set of music, before the Brothers Osborne arrived on stage for their frame of tunes. To follow, the night’s host, Haynes, and his Gov’t Mule collaborators took the stage for their full-fledged performance which featured a handful of artist sit-ins and covers. Read more here

After ending their set with a cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Blue Sky,” Haynes and company left the stage just in time for Tyler Childers’ music set, which came before the final set of the event featured Phil Lesh & Friends.

Esteemed photographers Michael Weintrob, Jay Blakesberg and Emily Butler were on the grounds and shared a selection of pictures from this year’s event. View below.
