My Morning Jacket Unveils Artist Lineup for 2025 One Big Holiday Event: Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Dinosaur Jr. and More
My Morning Jacket has announced the official artist lineup for their beloved destination concert vacation, One Big Holiday Weekend, which will be held from April 3 through 5, 2025. The event has been moved from Mexico to Miramar Beach, Fla., for the first time since its inception. Building off the band’s previous unveiling of dates and location, they have followed up today by sharing a breakdown of artists set to perform over the three-day gathering.
Preluding headliner performances, on Wednesday, April 2, My Morning Jacket will kick off the festivities with a welcome campfire jam, intended to set the tone for similar late-night fire-side sets put on by guests such as Tyler Ramsey, Maggie Halfman, and Bendigo Fletcher. Moreover, adding to the late-night activity, Karina Rykman, Eggy, and Illiterate Light have signed on to deliver silent disco-style jam performances–making for a nonstop festival schedule.
In addition to the host band’s promise of night performances, My Morning Jacket also shared their headliners’ schedule, beginning on Thursday, April 3, with separate sets from New Orleans stalwarts Preservation Hall Jazz Band and New York bassist Karina Rykman. Friday sees the continued roll-out of festival frames, performed independently by Devon Gilfillian and S.G. Goodman, before the final day, Saturday, April 5, presents the final crop of acts, Dinosaur Jr. and Futurebirds.
“What a joy it is experiencing the beautiful One Big Holiday festival vibes with everyone who has come out and had fun with us in all of the different wonderful locations we have been in so far. This next one in 2025 will be our first in the USA and we are so excited to share the energy and good times together once again with all of y’all and a lot of our fav artists as well. Whether you have been to them all or this will be your first one, we can’t wait to see ya down in Florida,” exclaimed Jim James via press release.
In addition to musical offerings, the event places festival-goers in an ideal setting, intended to intermix the sand, sea, and sounds of a well-curated concert vacation into an actualized representation of what it means to mingle with fellow MMJ enthusiasts.
