MerleFest Adds Final Artist Additions to 2024 Lineup: Molly Tuttle, Larkin Poe, Lukas Nelson & POTR and More

MerleFest has added more artists to its 2024 lineup. The springtime gathering will occur from April 25 through 28 on the Wilkes Community College campus in Wilkesboro, N.C. The impending event represents the 36th-anniversary celebration of “traditional plus” music and founding legend Doc Watson

New additions to the 2024 bill include Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Larkin Poe, Lukas Nelson & POTR, Sierra Hull, and Dan Tyminski Band. According to the daily schedule breakdown for MerleFest ‘24, Thursday, April 25, will see Tuttle and Tyminski play, respectively, joining fellow festival participants and already announced names like headliners Old Crow Medicine Show, Steep Canyon Rangers, Donna The Buffalo, and more. 

The second day of the gathering, Friday, April 26, features Poe, Turnpike Troubadours, Peter Rowan, Jim Lauderdale, and others. Saturday, April 27, is billed to include The Teskey Brothers, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck My Bluegrass Heart, Jerry Douglas, Sierra Hull, and more. The final day of MerleFest boasts appearances by Nickel Creek, Nelson & POTR, and other festival frequenters. 

This April, MerleFest promises one-of-a-kind programming that pays homage to pioneers of the folk movement as well as fresh and burgeoning voices on the scene. Each year, the event draws over 75,000 attendees, bringing folks to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and representing an annual pilgrimage steeped in musical splendor.
