Hangout Music Festival has announced the lineup for its surfside celebration on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shore, Ala., on May 19-21. The summer kick-off festival will unite fans through a diverse lineup in an ocean mist of icons from across the rock, pop and dance music worlds.

2023’s iteration of Hangout Music Festival will be headlined by the iconic rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, pop-punk mainstays Paramore, the hypnotic SZA, who will perform songs from her highly anticipated LP SOS, and dance music maverick and pioneer Calvin Harris. Other top-billing artists on the lineup include Lil Nas X, Flume, Skrillex and The Kid LAROI.

Though the headliners are of huge notoriety, the quality of the rest of the lineup is not to be overlooked, with artists like Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Maine, Mayday Parade Noah Kahan Coin, and The Vegabonds upholstering the indie-rock and Americana sphere, while Tove Lo, AJR, Ashe, Stephen Sanchez, Sabrina Carpenter, Jessie Murph, T and more showcasing the sheer quality of contemporary pop. As for hip-hop, Hangout Music Festival is stacked with A$AP Mob’s FERG, the indie-rapper Russ, Kevin Gates and Memphis’ GloRilla all showing face. The undefinable Thundercat will also round out the bill, dousing festival goers in bass wherever he glides.

Along with Calvin Harris, Flume and Skrillex, dancing on the beach will have some added weight with assistance from REZZ and Alison Wonderland, while more ethereal mixes will be shared by Big Wild, Gryffin, Said The Sky and Two Feet. Additionally, lovers of house music will be able to throw down at sets by John Summit, Dr. Fresch, Aluna and HoneyLuv.

As a nod to his southern location, fans can also expect some sprinkles of country music by Priscilla Block, MIKE., and Kidd G. The extremely carefully curated festival has maintained the quality of its lineup for decades and aims to be “the most anti-winter, adulting-be-damned, carefree getaway possible.”
