Green River Festival Releases Daily Schedules for 2024 Event

Green River Festival has released the long-awaited complete daily schedules for its 2024 event. This update breaks the artist lineup, originally released in November 2023, down into the festival’s typical three-day format. Booked this year for June 21-23 at its traditional venue of Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenville, Mass., the 38th Green River Festival will feature daily headliners CAKE, Fleet Foxes and Gregory Alan Isakov, alongside a litany of acclaimed newcomers and local legends from the worlds of indie and Americana.

On Friday, CAKE will celebrate 20 years of its seminal third album Pressure Chief. Other acts on the festival’s first day include Lawrence, The Nude Party, Twisted Pine and Grammy-nominated Cuban funk musician Cimafunk. Saturday’s lineup will be led by indie folk trailblazers Fleet Foxes, with artists like Bonny Light Horseman, Mdou Moctar, S.G. Goodman and rising alternative rock star Joy Oladokun filling out the bill. On Sunday, attendees can see Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Dakhabrakha and Floridian indie rockers Flipturn–among others–before a headliner exhibition of Isakov’s uniquely tender approach to Americana.

Since its 1986 debut, Green River Festival has established itself as Massachusetts’ premiere festival for indie and alternative rock. This year’s performers join the ranks of genre innovators like 10,000 Maniacs and NRBQ, who performed at the first official festival, as well as legends like Dr. John, Norah Jones, Mavis Staples, Taj Mahal and Arlo Guthrie.

3-day passes are available now. Single and two-day festival passes, as well as camping, parking and VIP passes, go on sale on Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m. EST. Visit greenriverfestival.com for more information on the upcoming event.
