This year’s Farm Aid festival will return on Saturday, Sept. 24. The beloved festival began in 1985 to raise financial aid and awareness about the loss of family farms and has continued to be an annual occurrence organized by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp.

This year’s event will include the three festival greats, Nelson, Young and Mellencamp, performing on the same stage as Dave Matthews and Margo Price. In a press release shared by Farm Aid, they stated that the location and full artist lineup would be made public in late July. 

After 2020’s virtual festival, Farm Aid returned in 2021 to the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Conn.; the lineup included the same cast of characters that have signed on thus far for the 2022 event, in addition to Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Bette Lavette and many more.
