Morrissey Reportedly Not Playing Riot Fest

Last week, Riot Fest released the lineups for their festivals in Denver and Chicago this year, with bills featuring the original Misfits lineup with Glenn Danzig, Ween and more, plus an appearance from Morrissey at the Chicago event, which might have been a premature announcement.
As Consequence of Sounds points out, the website True To You claims that Morrissey is not confirmed for the festival. “As of this date (May 23), Morrissey is not a part of this year’s Chicago Riot Fest,” it reads. COS calls the site “the unofficial official Morrissey website.”
Riot Fest Chicago will take place on September 16–18, with the Denver version taking place on September 2–4.
