Maybe the most exciting collaboration of the summer, Ryan Adams teaming with The Infamous Stringdusters and Nicki Bluhm for a full acoustic band setting has certainly not disappointed thus far. 

Over the weekend at Newport Folk Festival, the band made their second appearance together after initially debuting at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado. The set, typically filled with plenty of Adams-quality banter about Father John Misty’s recent meltdown and his love for Frightened Rabbit, was highlighted by the musicianship between the ensemble, with Adams’ classic songs complemented by the Dusters’ bluegrass expertise and Bluhm’s powerful vocals.
