80/35 Music Festival Announces First Round of Artists: The War on Drugs, Big Boi, Sudan Archives and More

80/35 Music Festival has unveiled the first round of artists who have signed up to participate in the 2023 iteration of the annual musical weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. The impending event will occur on July 7 and 8 at Western Gateway Park.

The first day of the festival, Friday, July 7, will feature a headlining set led by The War on Drugs. Then, additional music frames will be performed by Sudan Archives, Deerhoof, Ric Wilson, Gustaf, House of Large Sizes, Elizabeth Moen and Tayls. 

Day two will see hip-hop legend Big Boi take over the role of the headliner, with more music by Cautious Clay, Blu DeTiger, Thumpasaurus, William Elliott Whitmore, Etran de L’Air, Disq, McKinley Dixon, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Kiss the Tiger, Ancient Posse and Emma Butterworth. 

Proceeds raised from 80/35 will aid the nonprofit Des Moines Music Coalition, which is committed to building a more robust and diverse community in Des Moines by expanding youth music programs across the city.
