Looking back on the robust days of live music, Travers Brothership and Billy Strings are premiering a pro-shot video of their collaborative “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad,” live from Halloween 2019 at North Carolina’s Asheville Music Hall.

Recalls Kyle Travers of the memorable Woody Guthrie composition/Grateful Dead favorite, “We both happened to be playing Asheville on Halloween last year so we invited Billy to come jam with us as we had just seen each other’s sets at Suwannee Hulaween and really admired each other’s work. We settled on doing ‘Going Down The Road Feeling Bad’ because Billy and I are both big admirers of Jerry and The Grateful Dead, and we like to put our own spin on their tunes. The stars aligned as we were multi-track recording for our upcoming live album that night, so we captured this magical impromptu jam that came together beautifully. This was a sold out show, and I remember the energy in the room being off the charts. At this point in quarantine, I’m dreaming about playing live and touring every night, I can’t wait to get back out there and feel that energy again.”
