On Aug. 28, Elephant Revival co-founder Daniel Rodriguez will strike out on his own with his debut solo record Sojourn of a Burning Sun.

Today, Relix is premiering Rodriguez’s heartwarming clip for “Brother John,” a narrative that emphasizes the power of music and community.

“’Brother John’ is in the spirit of how music has that subtle power to melt the hardest of hearts,” explains Rodriguez. “I’ve been so struck by music myself – and I have seen when a song has softened, if only for a short time, the most calloused of souls. It’s in this spirit that we made the official video for ‘Brother John.’ I called upon my friend, Ian Glass, who directed, filmed and edited the entire video. Along with the help of actor Donnie Mortimer, I think we captured a good visual on isolation moving into a community love fest.”
