Members of The Rolling Stones Touring Band Kick Off Tribute to Charlie Watts at The Blue Note Jazz Club (A Gallery)
On Aug. 29, the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City kicked off the first of three evenings dedicated to the life of the late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts.
The tribute show featured members of The Rolling Stones touring band Benard Fowler, Darryl Jones, and Tim Ries, along with David Gilmore, Gary Versace, and Jeff “Tain” Watts, with special guest Randy Brecker.
On Aug. 30, the ensemble welcomed special guests Karl Denson & John Patitucci and tonight, Aug. 31, they’ll be joined by Patitucci and Grégoire Maret.
