Last night, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers arrived at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y., for the first of two nights on the historic Upstate stage. The Grateful Dead’s early nineties collaborator is currently on tour with special guests Eggy, who turned up during the latest performance, specifically the primary set, and added to select Hornsby compositions. The openers assisted their host on select numbers, bookending either side of the night’s primary frame with combined force.
The evening’s musical delivery began with the Hot House feature, “Country Doctor,” which emerged for the first time this calendar year and with assistance from members of Eggy, who stuck around for Spirit Trail pull “Preacher in the Ring Pt. 2.” Ultimately, Hornsby & The Noise Makers worked from selection that supported different phases of the bandleader’s career, including performing the Don Henley co-write, “The End of Innocence,” which evoked another chapter of Hornsby’s career as a collaborator of the Eagles’ founding member.
Before completing their mainframe, Hornsby brought Eggy back to center for one final sit-in, which took the shape of Halcyon Days’ contribution, “Candy Mountain Run.” For the encore, the band returned without help from any special guests, turning in “Jacob’s Ladder” and flaunting the best of their skills before calling it a night.
Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers with special guest Eggy return to Bearville tonight. Tickets remain on sale and can be purchased here.
On location was photographer, Bahram Foroughi, who shared his shots from the performance.
