Watch Tom Petty Salute Jerry Garcia at Outside Lands 2014

The late Tom Petty paid one final tribute to the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia in 2014 when he brought the Heartbreakers to the stage at Outside Lands, playing on the anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s death.
Before covering “Friend of the Devil,” the final time Petty would play the song and first since his 2013 show at Bonnaroo, Petty saluted the late Grateful Dead bandleader, saying, “We’re going to play one for Garcia tonight.”
