Watch: Teens Reacting to Beck Music Videos is As Disappointing As You’d Expect

It’s time for another “Teens React” video and this time these youngsters are exposed to the wide world of Beck Hansen, or, as young Madison puts it, “That guy who won that award that no one knows.”

There are so many disappointing reflections, but none more jarring than Shant’s input. Shant suggests that radio play these days is a direct reflection on our society, which, as he says, is “focused on ass.” God have mercy on us all. Then there’s “this brings me back” guy when presented with the 1994 hit “Loser.” Surely by “brings me back” he means to being a fetus.

When the unavoidable topic of Kanye West is broached, the teens seem a bit more reasonable, with many arguing that West shouldn’t have encroached on Beck’s Grammys moment. Fiery Madison goes a step further and burns Mr. Kardashian by calling him a “horrible person.” Jasser, or Lion King t-shirt guy, (who may live under a rock) has never heard of Beck and was also unaware that the Kanye incident ever happened. You keep on doing you, Lion King t-shirt guy.

The great light of hope in this whole video is Tie Guy (whose parents aptly coined him Daniel), proving that it’s always the sharpest dressed that are most reliable. Tie Guy loves Beck, knows every song, and can’t stand the other kids of his generation. Vote Tie Guy in 2016.

Obviously these teens need to pay more attention to our musical suggestions.
