Here’s something you probably didn’t know about the new host of Late Show: He was the lead singer in a Rolling Stones cover band “A Shot in the Dark,” although he claims they called themselves “A Shit in the Dark.” 

Stephen Colbert visited Howard Stern today to rap about all things Late Show and beyond. Stern also called on the new host to bust some classic Jagger moves and sing along to “Brown Sugar,” which he happily obliged. We can only hope that Colbert and bandleader Jon Batiste incorporate some Stones into their repertoire, which begins September 8 on CBS. “I’ve had enough of that,”  Stern said as he cut the music. Colbert fired back, “Really, am I turning you on?”
