Phish kicked off their 26th set of the Baker’s Dozen run with a sprawling, legendary “Simple” for the ages last night, as they delivered one more 20-minute jam on their way out of New York.
“Simple” was closer to 30 than it was 20, with the group thoroughly exploring the space-funk sensibilities of the improv section before Trey Anastasio grabbed ahold of the song, launching it to the rafters of Madison Square Garden with one soaring peak after another.
