On September 18, Netflix will unveil Keith Richards: Under the Influence, profiling the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist. In a trailer released today, we get a glimpse at the film including some choice quotes from Richards. And if you’ve been following Richards’ press circuit lately, he’s had quite a few choice quotes. 

“People think Keith Richards is smoking a joint, bottle in his hand cursing the fact the liquor store is closed,” he says with a laugh. The trailer also touches on his connection to American folk music, particularly Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters. “Rock and roll has nothing on those guys,” he says. “Not a lot of guys want to play like Chuck Berry because it’s like taking on the devil. I’ll take it on.”  There is also footage of Richards visiting Muddy Waters’ house, the Ryman in Nashville and elsewhere on his musical journey. As he says towards the end of the trailer, “You’re never grown up until they put you six feet under.’
