Watch Bob Weir Collaborate with The Avett Brothers in 2014

Fresh off the announcement that Bob Weir will join The Avett Brothers at Lockn’ later this summer, it feels appropriate to relive the last time the ensemble found themselves on stage together starting out at Mountain Jam in 2014 and continuing later that year when The Avetts came to Red Rocks.
At Mountain Jam, Weir joined the band for a couple songs including the George Jones classic “The Race Is On.” At Red Rocks, they went decidedly Grateful Dead with takes on “Uncle John’s Band” and Dead cover favorite “Goin’ Down the Road Feeling Bad.”
