Wilco will release their new studio album, Ode to Joy, this Friday, Oct. 4, and yesterday the group stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in support of the effort to deliver a performance of album single “Everyone Hides.”

As many Wilco cuts are wont to do, the bouncy tune offers poignant lyrics from frontman Jeff Tweedy (“Deep inside/ Everyone hides/ Some of the time”) set to relatively lighthearted instrumentation, including a couple stabs of electric guitar prowess from Nels Cline.
