Dave Matthews Band closed out their summer tour in support of new album Come Tomorrow with a guest-filled show at the Hollywood Bowl on Monday night, and the band tacked on a rare daytime performance by stopping by Ellen earlier today and playing new-album opener and live staple “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).”

Matthews and company are understandably well warmed up after their tour, and it shows in the frontman’s delivery on Ellen, as he belts the tune’s languid melody with mid-tour fervor, with guitarist Tim Reynolds adding in some spacey, rapid-fire solo licks.

Matthews and Reynolds also announced today that they will be returning to Riviera Maya, Mexico, this February for their third annual destination concert event. Also on the duo’s upcoming schedule is a stop at Hartford, CT’s Xfinity Theatre on September 22.
