Video: The Black Keys Bring the Blues to _The Tonight Show_

Ahead of their shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, The Black Keys visited 30 Rock for a pair of performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. First, the duo-turned-quartet offered up their latest single, “Gotta Get Away,” the Rolling Stones-esque blues rocker from their latest Turn Blue.

The group then returned for a web exclusive performance of Edwyn Collins’ 1994 cut “A Girl Like You.” The web performance has served as an outlet for the band to stretch out a tune (see: Phish’s “Fuego”) or, in this case, offer a cover that a television audience may have never heard.

Auerbach and Carney are deep into the touring cycle for their latest, Turn Blue, which ends December 21 but plan to enter the studio in January, the drummer recently told Billboard. “I think if it were up to Dan and I, and we didn’t have to consider the fact that we need to complete the full tour circuit, we’d probably be back in the studio in January,” he said. “I think by the time this record came out we were ready to make another one.”
