Today is the official release date for Horse Feathers’ new album, Appreciation. This is the sixth record from the group but the first since 2014’s So It Is With Us. Band leader Justin Ringle produced Appreciation, which maintains the lush atmospheric elements from the group’s prior efforts but also incorporates some new vigor and snap. Appreciation features longtime members Nathan Crockett (violin, viola) and Dustin Dybvig (piano, synths, percussion), while welcoming numerous new voices into the mix..

We are now premiering the official video for “Without Applause” from Appreciation, which was directed by Aubree Bernier-Clarke “ Ringle tells Relix, “When Aubree approached me with the idea of a clown being the protagonist of the video I naturally had a few reservations. But with the this record having a new sound I thought well at least the first impression of the video will be “this is different”. A lighter mood is a good change of pace for us. Baby steps you know?

Horse Feathers will take to the road over the next two months to support the record, which is now available for purchase via the Kill Rock Stars label. The group’s tour itinerary appears below the video.
