Video Premiere: Gang of Thieves “Work Together”

October 5, 2016

Burlington, VT’s Gang of Thieves add a funky flair to a driving rock sound. The animated results are captured on the group’s new release Born to Be Loud, which came out on September 23 (it is now available via iTunes, Spotify, and thegangofthieves.com). Gang of Thieves’ lead singer and electric violinist Michael Reit affirms that the album, “captures the live energy of our shows.”

Today we premiere the official video for “Work Together,” an inspirational song that celebrates the importance of local collaborative initiatives. Vermont artists Anthill Collective were so inspired by the song’s message of community that they painted the mural in downtown Burlington, featured in the video. Bassist Tobin Salas reflects, “It was a blast making this video. The concept of ‘Work Together’ really spoke to a lot of people, and got many members of our community involved. We had the help of so many people – various friends, fans, artists, other bands, and of course, the masterminds Toft and Eleni Willingham (Spiritual Rez, Kuli Productions) teaming up to direct and produce the whole thing. All the pieces of this project fell into place very naturally.”

Gang of Thieves will next perform on Thursday at The Camel in Richmond, VA. Their upcoming tour dates appear below the video.
