Video Premiere: The California Honeydrops “Live Learn”

The California Honeydrops released their latest album, Call It Home: Vol. 1 & 2, in spring 2018, and today we premiere a unique music video for one of the record’s tracks, “Live Learn.”

The idea for the video started with the band reaching out to fans and asking them to submit videos of themselves dancing to a snippet of the song. The winning fan, Colby, ended up starring in the band’s official video, which can be viewed below.

“When Colby submitted his video to us of him dancing with chickens on the farm where he lived, I knew instantly he was the winner and we had to shoot it on his home turf,” Honeydrops singer Lech Wierzynski tells Relix. “For years we’d seen him dancing front row at our show and giving us so much bubbling ebullient energy and getting to know the loving and thoughtful person in those tie-dye overalls was a pleasure in itself. Making the video on the farm was a great way to tip our hats to the small organic farming communities of the California and Oregon coast who have been the life blood of our fan base for years. There’s nothing like a good barn party!”

The California Honeydrops also recently announced a batch of fall tour dates, adding to their 2019 schedule that continues this weekend with a slot at Colorado’s Campout for the Cause. See the band’s full schedule below. More information can be found here.
