Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance was sorting through his old demos when he discovered some material he had identified as “Soul” and “Americana.” In response he traveled to the Southern U.S. to record two albums worth of material. The first of these, From Muscle Shoals, originated at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. On September 6, Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records/Elektra will issue To Memphis, which Vance recorded at Sam Phillips Recordings Studios in Memphis, TN.

Today we premiere the video for “Malibu Jane” from the forthcoming record. Vance tells Relix, “’Malibu Jane’ is a song that pretty much just categorizes the qualities of a very dear friend that I would quite happily hop on a plane for.”
