Video Premiere: Eric McFadden “While You Was Gone”
Eric McFadden’s latest album Pain By Numbers was released this past fall via Whiskey Bayou Records. Tab Benoit produced Pain By Numbers on which McFadden is joined by luminaries such as Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), Terence Higgins (Ani Di Franco, Warren Haynes), and Carl Dufrene (Anders Osborne). The album effectively captures McFadden’s gut-wrenching performance style.
Today we premiere the official video for “While You Was Gone” from the album. It features singer/actor Greer Sinclair and was filmed at the home of James Trussart, who made the guitar used by McFadden on the record and in the video. James Suter and Evan Kunesh shot and directed “While You Was Gone.”
The tune is the lead track on Pain By Numbers and McFadden tells Relix, “This song is open to a few interpretations, and we just expounded upon one of the few for this music video. This song does convey a sense of anxiety, fear and paranoia as perhaps related to the anxiety of separation.”
