The Apollo Theater paid homage to Herbie Hancock as a part of the Great Night in Harlem event. Performers throughout the evening included Angelique Kidjo, Chaka Khan, Susan Tedeschi, Verdine White, Steve Jordan, Paul Shafer, Charles Bradley and of course, Hancock. Bruce Willis and Questlove were also on hand to speak throughout the night. Legendary sax player Jimmy Heath was honored on stage with a birthday cake, as Heath celebrates his 88th birthday today.
