Lotus will appear in Charlotte tonight at The Fillmore as part of a tour that will continue through the end of the month. A week ago, back on February 5 in Boston, the band debuted a new instrumental, “Cold Facts,” which we are sharing today. The group’s Jesse Miller tells Relix, “‘Cold Facts’ is a new instrumental drawing on mid-70s funk-fusion. The syncopated Moog bass line and drum pocket build the foundation for a jazzy guitar melody and bongo workout. This recording was our third time performing the composition and fans have really embraced it live, so we wanted to share with everyone who wasn’t at the shows.” The group’s new single is “Eats The Light.”
