Song Premiere: Kyle Hollingsworth “Prime”
Kyle Hollingsworth‘s new studio album, 50, will be released on March 2 via SCI Fidelity Records. That date is doubly significant because, it also will mark the String Cheese Incident keyboard player’s 50th birthday. On the new record, Hollingsworth is joined by his steady touring band featuring guitarist Dan Schwindt, drummer Brian McCray and bass player Paul McDaniel, as well as a variety of guests including Andy Hall, Jen Hartswick, Kim Dawson, DJ Logic, Tanya Shylock and his SCI bandmate Jason Haan. Hollingsworth will celebrate the release with three Colorado dates in early March.
In the interim, Hollingsworth will perform four East Coast shows next week, starting on February 7 at Brooklyn Bowl. That date will double as the release event for Ground Score, the new IPA that Hollingsworth created in collaboration with SweetWater Brewery and Relix (Tickets and more information about the show can be found here and additional information about Ground Score appears here). The night will feature half-price pours from 6-8PM, as well as a panel discussion featuring Hollingsworth, Relix editor Dean Budnick, SweetWater head brewer Nick Nock and Crosby Hop Farm’s Zak Schroerlucke starting at 7:30. The event also will feature a free raffle to win VIP tickets to this year’s SweetWater 420 Fest.
