Song Premiere: Calder The Band “Canon in D”

Calder The Band’s new song “Canon in D” is the first recording to feature all five members of the current quintet. The Fort Wayne, IN-based group started in 2017 as a trio. however, Calder is currently a five-piece featuring brothers Aaron and Lee Cliff, along with Joe Stilwell, Luke Matulis and John Michael Sellers. The group draws on a palette of influences from Glen Campbell, Whitney and Foster the People for its amalgam of indie rock and country soul.
Today we are premiering “Canon in D.” The group tells Relix that the title “started as a joke and stuck, a little nod to a familiar chord progression throughout the song.” The song is available for pre-save via Spotify, with more to follow from Calder in 2021.
