Ryan Adams Dedicates “Magnolia Mountain” to Jerry Garcia on His Birthday
Ryan Adams celebrated the birthday of Jerry Garcia with a special version of Adams’ Cold Roses cut “Magnolia Mountain” dedicated to the late Grateful Dead guitarist.
“He means a lot to me,” Adams said as an intro to the song, played on what would’ve been Garcia’s 75th birthday. Adams also took to Twitter to explain that the band nodded to Garcia with a little “Space” before foraying into “Cold Roses” and then “Invisible Riverside.”
Tonight we played Magnolia Mountain>Space>Cold Roses>Space>Mag Mtn> Invisible Riverside for @jerrygarcia
