Part of the beauty of music festivals, at least for the artists, is the opportunity to run into old friends you may have not have the chance to see very often. At Grand Point North, Grace Potter assembled some real old friends, most notably Mike Gordon and Marco Benevento. Gordon took to his Instagram (before jamming with Grace Potter and Kenny Chesney, surely) to share this photo of him hanging out with Benevento in Burlington, VT. An underrated aspect of this picture is Benevento breaking out Kurt Cobain’s “Kill the Grateful Dead” shirt that he famously wore to a Rolling Stone photo shoot.

The Joe Russo’s Almost Dead keyboardist also shared his own photo with the Phish bassist, with Gordon feeding Benevento some grapes. All in all, you can bet that backstage at Grand Point North was just the bees knees. Check out the Gordon/Benevento photo shoot below.
