Metallica dusted off an old cover favorite last night in Germany as their Hardwired world tour ventured outside of the United States for a pair of shows at the Lanxess Arena.

It was the Queen Sheer Heart Attack cut “Stone Cold Crazy” that made its return to the Metallica setlist for the first time since August 14, 2013 and marked just the third play in seven years. No telling what reminded the band of the song on this night, but this plus an earlier Misfits cover (for the first time since 2011) means the metal titans are exploring some of their cover choices early on in the European stint.
