The art of the music video has gone the way of the mid-range jump shot in recent years, fading into obscurity as MTV opts for Jersey Shore reruns as opposed to, you know, actual music videos. Fans are consuming music so quickly that videos don’t need to be the spectacle that they used to be, but every once in a while someone fires towering double middle fingers at that notion and goes over the top. 

Presented into evidence: John Mayer’s new video for “Still Feel Like Your Man.” 

Not only does the guitarist bust out some dance moves, but he does so in the company of a couple of panda bears in a completely bizarre and wonderfully unexpected output from the Dead & Company guitarist. 

For his part, Mayer is playing into the joke, delivering this tweet announcing the video.
