Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jason Grilli hopped on stage last night during the encore of Pearl Jam’s tour opener. Grilli delivered an impassioned speech, conveying his appreciation for the local fans and promising big things from the Pirates next year. He then ordered the band to “do it” and they promptly launched into “Whipping.” The Pirates were recently eliminated from the MLB playoffs.

Last night’s PJ tour opener also featured the debut of five new songs from their forthcoming Lightning Bolt, all of which you can watch below. Check out the live debut of “Pendulum,” which opened the show, along with the emotional “Sirens,” “Yellow Moon,” “Infallible” and “Let the Records Play.” Lightning Bolt is due out October 15.
