Here Are Most of the “Werewolves of London” Performed This Weekend

This Just In: Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” is an awfully popular Halloween cover in the Grateful Dead world. Here’s a sampler platter from Saturday night from Phil & Friends, Dead & Company and Stu Allen, who all performed the tune during their Halloween shows. Each version offers something for everyone, from the unique edge Stanley Jordan contributed to the tune with Lesh to Mayer and Weir trading verses at MSG. It’s at the very least interesting to see how each ensemble interpreted the song.

Check out three versions below and let’s all sit around and argue about which is best once we hear the Joe Russo’s Almost Dead version.
