Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds got together for a couple of shows over the weekend (and they’ll do a bunch more this year) and a few crazy things happened, most notably the first acoustic rendition of “Rapunzel” since 1999, a year many consider to be Dave and Tim’s prime as a duo. 

It all happened on January 26 in Grand Prairie, TX towards the end of the set as the duo kicked into “Pantala Naga Pampa,” the instrumental that kicks off DMB’s best album Before These Crowded Streets. Typically used as an outro jam to “Jimi Thing” during Dave and Tim shows, this time “Pantala” would be played proper with the following “Rapunzel.”
